Hij geeft concerten in Europa, Rusland, Japan en de USA. Hij treedt op met orkesten uit binnen- en

buitenland en werkte in die hoedanigheid samen met gerenommeerde dirigenten.

Als orgelduo met Hiroko Inoue (Osaka/Moscow) genieten zij met name in Rusland grote bekendheid.

In 2007 werd hem de “Kiwanis Cultuurprijs 2007” uitgereikt vanwege zijn grote verdiensten als

organist in binnen en buitenland.

In 2017, 2018 en 2019 is hij als docent orgel verbonden aan The Moscow Gnessin Summer School.

Jean-Pierre Steijvers  studied organ, piano and church music at the Conservatoria of Maastricht and

Amsterdam. He won prizes at competitions in Dublin, Lucerne, Chartres and Kaliningrad as well as

the “Moscow Philharmonic Society Special Award”.

In May, 2004, he was appointed “Organiste-Titulaire” of the St. Christoffel Kathedraal in Roermond

(The Netherlands) and of the Louvigny/Robustelly/Verschueren organ in the Caroluskapel of the former seminary of the Roermond Diocese. In addition, he teaches organ, piano and music theory at the Ecicultuurfabriek in Roermond.

Jean-Pierre Steijvers has given concerts in Europe, Russia, Japan and the USA and performed with orchestras, and renowned conductors, both within the Netherlands and alsewhere.

His duo partnership with Hiroko Inoue (Osaka/Moscow) is especially well-known in Russia. In 2007, he was awarded the Kiwanis Culture Prize in honour of his services as an organist on both Dutch and international stages.

Jean-Pierre Steijvers heeft orgel, piano en kerkmuziek gestudeerd aan het Conservatorium van Maastricht en het Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam. Hij is prijswinnaar van orgelconcoursen in Dublin, Luzern, Chartres, Kaliningrad en winnaar van de “Moscow Philharmonic Society Special Award”.

Sinds mei 2004 is hij benoemd tot “Organiste-Titulaire” van de

St. Christoffel Kathedraal te Roermond en van het Louvigny/Robustelly/Verschueren orgel in de Caroluskapel van het voormalig Groot Seminarie van het Bisdom Roermond. Daarnaast is hij docent orgel, piano en muziektheorie aan Ecicultuurfabriek te Roermond.
